Welcome to Region One

We are excited to begin the regional structure this year, as it allows us to serve our community in a way that meets its unique needs. In Region One, we believe in the power of families, schools, and community stakeholders working together to support our students in their journey towards excellence. We also believe that relationships matter and look forward to fostering relationships with stakeholders throughout our region.

Region One aligns with our superintendent’s commitment to put students at the center of all decisions by focusing on excellence in foundational skills, great educators in every school, career empowerment and preparation, and success for every student. In fact, our region already has a great start on these priorities as you can see with the following program offerings and accomplishments.

Region One includes schools that offer a variety of programs, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), AP courses, Dual Enrollment, and exceptional fine arts courses. Our schools have also earned many distinctions, including a National Blue Ribbon School, multiple Tennessee Reward Schools and multiple Community Schools.

Students are our greatest resource and Region One graduates earned more than $50 million in scholarships in 2022, while also winning multiple state or national championships in athletics, the arts, and Career Technical Education competitions. We are honored to serve with you in this journey to make Region 1 the best it can be.
