  • From the Principal . . .

    Welcome to Halls Middle School!  I am honored to serve my second year as the Principal of Halls Middle School.  I am so excited to be a part of such a wonderful community and school.  Our desire is to provide your student with an enriching and engaging middle school experience that helps them grow not only academically but socially and emotionally as well.  We want to provide rigorous and engaging instruction in the classroom as well as multiple opportunities for involvement in clubs and activities before and after the school day.  We want each and every student to leave our building prepared for high school and the challenges beyond.

    Our mission: "Serving others--striving for greatness" will take the effort of all administrators, faculty, students, and parents.  Working together we can help ensure all students at Halls Middle experience greatness.  

    You can help your child be successful in school by:
    •Holding him/her accountable for learning, behavior, and school involvement
    •Becoming involved at Halls Middle School
    •Supporting the teachers
    •Celebrating your student(s) success
    •Communicating positively with your student and his/her teacher(s)

School Announcements

  • Halls Middle 1st Annual Golf Tournament

    The Halls Middle School PTA will be holding our first annual Golf Tournament fundraiser at Three Ridges Golf Course on Saturday, March 31 at 8:30AM. The golf tournament will be one of our main PTA fundraisers for the year. This will be a four person best ball tournament for $265 per team, $5 red tees and mulligans, $5 throws, $2 raffles for door prizes, longest drive, and a putting contest.  Rollin' Smoke BBQ lunch will be served

    There are several ways in which you can help our school:

    • Sponsor a hole for $100 and get your name on a sign!
    • Donate prizes such a gift cards for the participants!
    • Donate supplies, drinks, or food for the day of the tournament!
    • Play in the tournament! The cost is $265 for a team of four!

    The funds raised from this tournament will be used to improve the Halls Middle facility and purchase additional technology for our school. If you know of a business or individual who would be willing to sponsor a hole or have a team, please contact one of our PTA representatives.

  • Halls & Gibbs High Registration

    Halls High School registration will be Tuesday, Feb. 27th during Language Arts classes. Halls High Parent night will follow Tuesday night, Feb. 27th at 6pm in the Halls High School cafeteria. 
    Gibbs High School registration will be Friday, March 2nd. Permission forms will be sent home closer to time. Gibbs High School parent night will be Tuesday, March 27th at 6pm at Gibbs High School.

  • Morning Dropoff Procedures

    Parents who choose to drop off their child in the mornings have two options: 1) Drop off your child in the Beaver Dam church back parking lot and have them use the crosswalk, or 2) Enter the morning dropoff loop on the Halls campus.  DO NOT endanger your child or the safety of other children by dropping off your child in the teacher parking lot, the turnaround in front of the school, the middle of the road, or by driving around the traffic cones and sawhorses!  Please follow the car line and the directions of the staff member directing traffic, and drop off your child at the portico area ONLY. Numbered parking spots are individually assigned for faculty and staff parking ONLY! Parents and visitors should use the designated visitor or unmarked parking spots.

  • Student Password Resets

    All student passwords have been reset to a capital S followed by a lowercase s and then the student's id # (Ss123456). If you are experiencing difficulty with student logins please email missy.lewis@knoxschools.org with the subject line "password reset" and the student name and ID# in the message body.
    We cannot reset parent portal accounts! Parents must contact the Knox County Helpdesk at (865) 594-1830 or helpdesk@knoxschools.org.
