If your student's account has a positive balance and you wish to receive a refund, please submit your request in writing by emailing Kim Vomfell at email@example.com. In your written request, please include your student's name, school, and student ID. Please also include a current mailing address for where to send the refund check. As a reminder, positive balances will roll over to the next school year should you choose to leave the balance on the account for purchases next school year.
Online Meal Prepayments
Knox County Schools Nutrition Department accepts online payments through K12paymentcenter.com.
K12PaymentCenter assesses convenience fees based upon the dollar amount of the meal payment. A flat convenience fee of $1.95 is added to transactions up to $100. A convenience fee of 2.99% of the total payment is added to transactions above $100.
Please note: Knox County Schools Nutrition Department does NOT receive any portion of the convenience fee.

Free & Reduced Applications
We are slowly moving away from paper applications for Free & Reduced. We will offer a limited number of paper applications in order to offer more efficient and speedier application processing. To apply, go to lunchapplication.com.
- A letter with more information will be sent to you. If you have not received a letter, please contact your student's school office for one.
- If your student attends a school participating in the Community Eligibility Program, you will NOT have to fill out a traditional Free & Reduced application as you have in prior years. If you have a student attending a non-participating school, you will need to complete a Free & Reduced application.
