    Elementary Physical Education:
     
    Physical education plays a major role in the overall education of children in Knox County.  The skills learned in physical education prepare children physically, but also develop readiness skills for success in the classroom.  The goal of K-5 physical education is to contribute to the total growth and development of the child, primarily through selected movement experiences and physical activity.
