• Superintendent Search

The Knox County Board of Education will be hiring a new leader to assume the role of Superintendent of Schools. A key part of this process is to provide everyone an opportunity to be heard. Dr. Tammy Grissom, Executive Director of the Tennessee School Boards Association, will lead a process to gather community input and views about the issues and challenges facing our school system and community. If you are unable to attend an in-person meeting, please share your thoughts using the stakeholder survey. You may also send additional thoughts via email. The deadline to complete the survey and to provide comments is noon on Dec. 3, 2021.

  • To provide everyone with an opportunity to be heard, a series of 1-hour meetings have been scheduled on Dec. 2, 2021 in the boardroom on the first floor of the Andrew Johnson Building, 912 S. Gay Street. Please note that these are suggested times and interested individuals may go to any of the meetings. The luncheon is for invited guests; however, the public is welcome to attend.
