PE Portfolio
All elementary PE teachers submitted their PE portfolio by the April 15 deadline! A huge thank you to Kara Monk, Josh Van Pelt, Renee Graham and Elizabeth Stone for being the best portfolio mentors anyone could ask for! They answered many phone calls, texts, emails and held training sessions at their schools to support our teachers. They truly are rock stars! A huge thank also goes to Heather Casteel, Art Specialist who has given us all great advice and support during our "practice year". The process has begun to review all the PE portfolios in the state. Each district is expected to have 10% of it's teachers as portfolio reviewers. Final scores will be sent to teachers later in the summer.
The Knox County PE Portfolio reviewers are:
Josh Ballard
Elizabeth Cross
Kristin DeLapp
Renee Graham
Susan Hibbett
Kara Monk
Sarah Pickett
Elizabeth Stone
Josh Van Pelt
Elementary Track
We had another exciting and successful elementary track season. Thank you to all the elementary PE teachers who all the hard work you put in to bring your students to your area track meet and then to the Elite Meet of Champions. This year was bittersweet with the passing of our dear friend Larry Graham. Mr. Graham has been a wonderful ambassador for elementary track. He was at the finish line of every race encouraging every student personally. This year, Mr. Graham was honored at the north area meet at Halls High School. His wife, daughter and pastor were present to honor his life and unwavering support he gave to students and the community. Mr. Graham was also honored at the Elementary Elite Meet at Hardin Valley Academy on April 21. The two first place trophies that were given are named after this remarkable man. Mr. Graham, you will be missed.
