Bearden Student Named Youth Poet Laureate

A Bearden High School student has been selected  as the new Youth Poet Laurate for the City of Knoxville!

Virgil Voyles was one of three KCS students who were finalists for the position, and will focus on priorities including creating a safe place for LGBTQ+ youth to express themselves through the art of poetry.
