Knox County Schools will host the “CTE Goes Live” singing competition on May 3, 2019, at the Market Square Stage. Students representing 15 high schools will compete for the grand prize: a trip to Nash10 Studios, in Nashville, to produce a radio-ready song.
The televised event will be produced by students in the KCS Career & Technical Education program, who will provide services in social media and marketing; website promotion; radio and television broadcasting; design and production of posters and flyers; photography and promotional images; job shadowing with the Knoxville Police Department; cosmetology for contestants; and stage setup and teardown.
“CTE Goes Live” is sponsored by Toyota Knoxville and Lexus of Knoxville. Stellar Visions and Sound is the sound and lighting sponsor and M&M Productions is the production sponsor. Program sponsors are Pilot Flying J, Knoxville Coca-Cola, McGaha Electric, and Holston Gases. Salsarita’s, Papa John’s, B&B Salon and Lamar Advertising also partner with the production of “CTE Goes Live.”
