Upcoming Board of Education Meetings

School Board Chairman Doug Harris has scheduled a special called meeting of the Knox County Board of Education on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015 to consider the annual performance evaluation and possible contract renewal or extension for the Superintendent of Schools. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Boardroom on the first floor of the Andrew Johnson Building located at 912 S. Gay Street, Knoxville, TN 37902. Immediately following the called meeting, the Knox County Board of Education will conduct a work session in preparation for the monthly meeting.

The monthly meeting (regular session) will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 5 p.m. in the main assembly room of the City County Building (400 W. Main Street). Prior to this regular session, the board will take its group photo at 4:30 p.m. in the Small Assembly Room at the City County Building. Following the regular session, board members may go to dinner at Calhoun's on the River located at 400 Neyland Drive. Board members will pay for their own meals, and no agenda items are expected to be discussed.

The called meeting, work session and regular session will be broadcast live on Comcast Cable Channel 10 and streamed live at knoxschools.org/kcstv.
