Knox County teachers have worked with content supervisors and specialists to prepare resources to help your family continue to learn at home during the COVID-19 school closure. As you explore the resources, keep in mind that all of the work is optional and you should use it in the way that makes the most sense for your current family situation. No student's grade will be impacted positively or negatively.
Within "Student Resources," materials are available for math, social studies, ELA, and science. There is a packet resource for each grade level, and grades K-8 have a YouTube video featuring a Knox County teacher of that grade and subject to accompany the resource. The videos are also running on Comcast Channel 10 and PBS.
Additionally, we have "Student Supports" materials for students who might need specialized instruction. We have also included information to help parents or caregivers with some strategies for supporting the varied needs of the learners in their care.
Limited quantities of printed packets are available for families without internet access at the KCS meal distribution sites.
