  • Join Knox County Schools and Knox County Council PTA for a viewing of the FBI's documentary Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict. The screenings will be followed by a brief presentation and a Q&A session on opiate abuse prevention. There will also be a Community Resources Fair with important information for our families.

This community event is sponsored in partnership with WBIR, Metro Drug Coalition, Knox County Health Department, Knox County Sheriff's Office, Knoxville Police Department, Knox County Schools Security Division, the Office of the Attorney General, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program. All dates are from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. and will be streamed live on knoxschools.org/kcstv and Comcast channel 10.

Please be aware that this film does contain strong language and graphic substance abuse content. Parents/Guardians who wish to bring their teenage children to this event should consider reviewing the film prior to the screening. We also encourage families to stay for the facilitated discussion. Watch the film and other related video clips at fbi.gov/chasingthedragon.
