Board Of Education Members Take Oath Of Office
Posted by Josh Flory on 8/31/2018Evetty Satterfield, District 1, takes the oath of office as a member of the Knox County Board of EducationThe Knox County Board of Education has a new look, after five members took the oath of office at an installation ceremony on Friday morning.
Three members are newly elected to the board, while two incumbent members took the oath for a new four-year term.
New members joining the board are:
- Evetty Satterfield, District 1;
- Virginia Babb, District 4; and
- Kristi Kristy, District 9.
Incumbents beginning a new term are:
- Terry Hill, District 6; and
- Patti Bounds, District 7.
Also joining the board was student representative Hannah Selph, of Hardin Valley Academy.
The installation took place at the City County Building, as part of a ceremony that also included new Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs and several other county officeholders.
