Knox County Schools will be offering select summer programming that have proven to make a positive impact on their academics. These include:
Read to Be Ready: a program that offers early literacy support for students in grades K-2 who attend Sarah Moore Greene Elementary, Green Magnet Academy and Lonsdale elementary schools
Freedom School: a non-profit program at Sarah Moore Greene Elementary that provides enrichment and literacy activities for all Knox County students in grades 3-5.
Summer Bridge: a program offered at select high schools in Knox County for rising ninth graders that have been identified by their middle school as needing extra academic support prior to beginning high school.
Online Summer School Recovery Credit: a program that allows high school students the opportunity to complete courses online that they have previously failed in order to get back on track for graduation.
Virtual online courses: a variety of summer high school courses available to students online
