    Wirecast on iMac
    Mac or Windows CPU
    $1,200 to $2,400
The Wirecast software is available for both Mac and Windows platforms. The current hardware requirements can be viewed on the Telestream Company's website. Note that the minimum CPU depends on the resolution with which you want to be able to broadcast your signal.
     Wirecast Logo

     Wirecast Studio Software
    $450 (education price)

Wirecast Studio allows any number of cameras and inputs, titling overlays, chroma keys, multiple layers, shot editing, and the ability to preview shots prior to broadcast.

It gives you not only a way to cut from one video source to the other, but it also  allows you to mix the video in dissolves and other eye-catching transitions.

NOTE: The Wirecast Pro version is available but at twice the cost. It is geared more toward schools that are streaming live sporting events. It will allow scoreboard overlays and instant replay. But, the regular version of Wirecast is more than adequate.

     UltraStudio Mini Recorder
    UltraStudio Mini Recorder
    $140 to $150
The UltraStudio Mini Recorder converts the camera's HDMI video signal to a Thunderbolt signal so the Mac can understand and import the video. You will need one for each camera.
Most new Macs have two Thunderbolt ports, thus only two cameras can be connected. (If you need more than two you can use the BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle listed below.)

NOTE: Since this device uses Thunderbolt, it for Macs only.
     Thunderbolt Cable
    Thunderbolt 2.0 Cable
    $45 to $60
The Thunderbolt cable connects the Mini Recorder to the Mac computer's Thunderbolt port.
     Intensity Shuttle
    BlackMagic Design Intensity Shuttle
    $190 to $200
The BlackMagic Design Intensity Shuttle can take video input from a variety of formats, HDMI, Component, S-Video, and Composite. It outputs the digital video signal over a USB 3 connection. Thus it can be used on a Mac or a Windows computer with USB 3 ports.
NOTE: Because this device can capture the old analog signal from older cameras, it may allow you to use the older cameras into which you may already invested.
    USB 3.0 Cable
    USB 3.0 Cable
    (A Male/B Male)
    $9 to $20
The USB 3 cable is used to connect the BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle to the USB 3 port on the computer.
     Mini Recorder PC
    DeckLink Mini Recorder
    $170 to $250
If you are using a Windows computer that has open PCI slots, you could install the BlackMagic Design DeckLink Mini Recorder. It will allow the computer to capture the HDMI output of your camera.
    Thunderbolt 2 Dock
    Thunderbolt 2 Dock
    $220 to $260

If all your Mac's Thunderbolt ports are in use, you can add more by connecting the OWC Thunderbolt 2 Dock.
