About the Library Media Center
Temporary Library procedures due to COVID-19:
Students will not be entering the library to browse for books until further notice. Please use the Library Catalog to browse our book offerings, log on in the top right corner, and when you have selected the book you want, place it on reserve. The book will be pulled for you, checked out to your account, and delivered to your classroom within 72 hours if the book is available (not checked out to or reserved by another student.) Books that have been returned to the library will be quarantined for at least 72 hours before they are available for checkout to another student.
Each student may have two books checked out at one time. If you already have two books checked out, you will need to return one to the library before you are allowed to check out another one.
VIRTUAL STUDENTS: Please use available ebooks and audiobooks at this time.
FOR MORE INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS, please check the Canvas Library course for your grade level.
The Library Media Specialist works collaboratively with students, teachers, administrators, and the larger community to meet the personal and academic needs of each learner as they strive to make sense of the world.
The Bearden Middle School Library is home to over 13,000 print books. Several online databases are available for students to use at school as well as at home. Please see the librarian for database passwords, or check the Canvas Library course for your grade level for a comprehensive list. Click here for the Databases and Helpful Links page.
- Students may have up to two books checked out at a time. Books are due three weeks from the date of checkout.
