BMS Swim Team
BMS Swim Team 2022/2023
Practice will be held at the UT Student Aquatic Center (SAC) on Monday 7:30-8:30 p.m. and Tuesday/Thursday from 8:00-9:00 p.m.
Parent's Meeting and first practice is: Monday September 26th, 2022 at 7:30 P.M.
Swimmers should have their own practice suit, swim cap, goggles and water bottle. Swimmers MAY NOT get in the pool without all the paperwork filled out and submitted to the team.
We are scheduled to have four meets this season - 3 dual/tri meets and the KMSSL Championship Meet.
Volunteering at Swim Meets: One of the most important ways parents provide support to the team is by working at swim meets. At least one parent/guardian needs to work each swim meet in which their child swims. If you have never worked at a swim meet before, don't worry! We will provide on-the-job training! It’s super easy.
Transportation: Participants provide their own transportation to and from practices and meets.
Team Requirements: Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool safely and independently. New swimmers will be evaluated during the first practice.
Swimmers will need to attend practices every week. If you are a student who participates in a fall sport that doesn’t allow you to start until after that sport ends, we are happy to work with you, but please let us know. If you swim with a year-round swim program, you will only need to attend 4 practices in addition to the meets.
Swimmers should wear a BMS swimsuit, solid black swimsuit, or solid blue swimsuit with their BMS Swim Cap to all meets. Summer League suits with a club logo are not allowed. *BMS swim suits will be available for purchase along with other gear (sweatshirts, etc.)
All gear is the responsibility of the swimmer except for their BMS team t-shirt & BMS team cap, which will be provided as part of your registration fee.
Fees & Registration:
As listed on the registration form, fees for the 2022 season will be $200 per swimmer. Discounts are available for year-round swimmers and families with multiple swimmers on the team. (Please e-mail email@example.com for more information.)
You may bring your registration and fees to the first practice or mail that to the board member noted on the registration form.
The following forms will need to be read and signed/filled out to be registered per KMSSL and insurance requirements before a swimmer is allowed in the pool:
