  • Flu Mist

Knox County Schools will be offering influenza (flu) vaccinations to children during the school day. If you would like your child to be vaccinated at no cost to you, it is necessary to fill out and the sign the FLU CONSENT form that was sent home in the Thursday folder. This form can also be found at www.knoxcounty.org/health/schoolflu, completed online at this same website, or ask the school to provide one for you. An English and Spanish form is also attached for your convenience. No child will be vaccinated without a completed, signed, and returned consent form. The FluMist is scheduled to be given at Powell Elementary on Friday, November 15 from 8:30-11:30. More information about this program can be found at www.knoxcounty.org/health/schoolflu

  • MORNING DROP-OFF

Parents, please be mindful that students may not be dropped off in the morning in any of our parking lots. Our parking lots and driveways are super busy with cars. It is not safe for any student or adult to be crossing in between the cars in the drop off line. As a reminder, the bus loading dock is not open for student drop off until 7:30 each morning and closes to drop-offs at 7:45. After 7:45, all students must enter through the front doors and are considered tardy. It is important that all parents use the designated drop off areas for student arrival. Thank you for your help with this safety concern.

All kindergarten car-riders and 3rd and 5th grade car riders will meet in the gym and will be picked up in the front of the building.
