IB Program Coordinators

What is the International Baccalaureate (IB)?

  • The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a global leader in international education—developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people. Its programs empower students to take ownership in their own learning and help them develop future-ready skills to make a difference and thrive in a world that changes quickly.

West High School is proud to be an IB World School offering multiple options in which all students in grades 9-12 may participate. The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), for students in grades 9 and 10, assists students in making practical connections between their studies and the real world, preparing them for success in further studies and in life. The MYP curriculum develops creative, critical and reflective thinkers. Juniors and seniors continue their IB studies by taking IB courses or making a two-year commitment to either the Diploma (DP) or Career-related (CP) Programme.  IB offers challenging, advanced studies that connect motivated students with a devoted faculty, collegiate-level courses, and experiential, internationally-minded learning.
