About The West HS Library

  • Hi there!

I'm Ms. Williams -- I have been the librarian at West High School since 2013. Welcome!!

I started crying during my job interview at West High School (I teared up when I started talking about making a difference in a student's life)... And right then, I knew that I was exactly where I needed to be. Every day I come to work, I have the opportunity to make a difference in a young person's life, and for this I am so grateful.

Something interesting (?) about me:  I went to high school in Los Angeles, and hung out with the punk and goth crowd. On weekends, we went to see bands play and went thrift shopping in Hollywood.

Today, I live in a small red house - I collect and restore antique furniture, and have 4 rescue animals: Bella & Pixie (dogs) and Pooky & Charlotte (cats) .

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History (Summa cum Laude) and a Masters of Information Science from The University of Tennessee in 2009.

Feel free to email me at nancy.williams@knoxschools.org with questions or concerns!

     See you soon!

    Love,

    Ms. Wiliams (aka Miss WillWill)
