Library Behavior Expectations
Library Behavior Expectations
Behavior grades are not given for Library classes. Behavior issues are, instead, communicated to teachers via Parent Square and, for 4th and 5th grades, by individual behavior folder.
The basic rules of Library behavior are:
- Walking feet
- Quiet voices
- Respect yourself & others
- Respect library materials
- Follow teacher's first request
Library procedures vary by grade, but build upon the basic rules, which are taught beginning in Kindergarten and reviewed routinely throughout the year.
Book care is also covered at the beginning of each year. For more information, see Overdue/Lost/Damaged Library Materials.
