Due to the delay of the start of school for the 2020-2021 year, SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) classes will begin in late September. Classes will take place for 30 minutes with a student’s homeroom. All students (in-person and virtual) will participate in SEL classes led by Ms. Foley. A letter will be sent out to parents/caregivers before the topic to inform them of the topic of the lesson.

While SEL classes will be slightly delayed, Ms. Foley will be going to each classroom within the first 20 days of school to help each student complete a needs assessment. Questions in this assessment include feelings about returning to school, completing virtual assignments, and other social-emotional needs. This needs assessment will be used to determine topics of SEL classes and also to see how the school support team can best assist students this year.

Please check back soon to find out the SEL class topics and other opportunities provided by the school counseling office. Thank you for your support!
