Mentor Program
-
WHES has developed a partnership with Middlebrook Pike Church KIDS HOPE USA which is a program that trains caring adults to befriend children and help them learn and focus on specific academic skills. Our mentors are positive role models and friends who give your child a positive experience during school hours. If you are interested in having your child participate, please contact Ms. Basner. All mentors have had level B background checks through Knox County.
Click HERE to access the permission form for the program.
The Knoxville Leadership Foundation has an afterschool mentoring program that requires a year commitment and a carefully selected mentor assigned to your student. For more information on this program, click here: Amachi. If you are interested in having your child participate, please reach out to Elishia Basner: elishia.basner@knoxschools.org.
