West Hills PTA welcomes you to West Hills Elementary!
You ask what is PTA? PTA stands for Parent-Teacher Association, a national organization consisting of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all students. We support school staff, provide additional enrichment opportunities, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering and funding. Our PTA events looked a little different this past year. We shifted our focus slightly to support our teachers as much as we could. We look forward to next year when, fingers crossed, we can host in-person events again.
PTA PROGRAMS & FUNDRAISING
Our primary objective as a PTA is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child attending West Hills. To meet this important objective we hold 1 main fundraiser per year, and several events throughout the year, which provides us with some additional funds. A few programs that we sponsor and/or support:
- Fall Festival, Family Game Night
- Spring/Fall Clothing Drives
- Teacher Appreciation
- WHES Spirit Store Spring
- Family Picnic
- End of year talent show
- Dine-Out Nights
- International Night
- Boo-Hoo Breakfast
- 5th grade party
- Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast
New ideas for fundraising and events are always welcome!
