- Junior class in-person learners will take the ACT for free during school on March 7, 2023.
- ACT is now a graduation requirement!! If you have NOT taken the ACT yet, and you are a junior, you will be able to take the ACT for free during school hours. More information on dates TBD. You can also receive a fee waiver and are eligible to receive the ACT online prep if you received free and reduced lunch. Please see Mrs. Taylor or Coach Smoker for an ACT voucher. Don’t forget to list your choice of 4 schools during your registration process as well. Your ACT scores from this test will not be on your transcripts for a few months, so if you don’t list the schools, and then they need those results, you will have to pay for ACT to send them.

The ACT test scores are very important for college admission and scholarships!!! I know it is a hard exam, but if you do not achieve the score you desire, then please retake it as many times as you feel necessary to get that desired score!! Some scholarships start at a composite score of 24-26, but many more are available for scores of 28+. We have prep books in the guidance office, there are websites that offer helpful tips ( Google can be your best friend), or there are tutoring courses available for a fee. Some colleges superscore, but most scholarship opportunities do not. Also, some of those scholarships have a December 1st cut-off date. So, give it all you've got, and as soon as possible!
-
ACT Test Fees are $52.00 for the ACT. If you take the ACT with the writing portion, it is $58.50. There is a late fee of $30.00 if you register during the late registration period. Current juniors will get to take the exam in school TBD at no charge. This will be their "free" voucher. If you are a student on free and reduced lunch, you are able to receive two additional vouchers total, at no charge once we verify your eligibility. CLICK HERE for Free/Reduced Lunch VoucherYou are also eligible for the ACT online Prep. Just select that option upon checking out. Students need to register themselves at http://www.actstudent.org. Once an account is set up, you can choose a test date and location. The school has no way to know what their username and/or password is, so please keep a record of what you choose.
