Membership: Anyone who is taking a Family and Consumer Science class or has taken a FACS class or will be taking a FACS class (Human Services,Nutrition and Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics, Lifespan Development, Teaching As Profession I,II,III).
Dues: $15.00 for national, state and local affiliation.
Meetings: The 4th Thursday of the month at 7:45 – 8:20 a.m. and during class time.
Place: Room 140
Service Projects: Members made heart pillows for American Cancer Society in memory of Ms Vicki Dunaway, supported a child through Angel Tree, made ribbons for the The Race for the Cure, collected food for Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Basket, made blankets for wheel chair residents at Candleridge, collected diapers for Florence Criteon Agency, collected personal care items for Mission of Hope, made fleece hats for cancer patients for American Cancer Society, fleece blankets for American Red Cross and Ben Atchly Veterans Nursing Home, made Touch Quilts for Alzheimer patients, sponsored a tree for the Fantasy of Tree, and made quilts for East Tennessee Children Hospital
Activities: Individual craft projects, gifts for PHS staff and school service project.
Attend: Regional Star Events at Carson Newman College, CTE Idol, Tennessee Valley Fair
