Tennessee Governor’s Schools are special summer programs for current 10th & 11th grade students (rising 11th & 12th graders) currently enrolled in TN high schools. Students may be able to earn college credit for attendance in a Governor’s School Program.
The programs are demanding & require students who are high achievers. Eligible students should rank in the top of their class in academic performance/capability or should be highly talented in the arts.
Each Governor’s School application outlines specific student eligibility criteria. Letters of recommendation are required. If you are interested in attending Governor’s School, fill out a Brag Sheet letter for school staff to be able to write a quality letter of recommendation. All information can be found within the applications for each school.
