NOVEMBER 1, 2023

• Complete the Class of 2024 TN Promise application at TNPromise.gov by November 1, 2023 to become eligible for the scholarship.

FALL 2023/WINTER 2024

• Apply for the UT Promise scholarship if you are interested in attending a UT System institution (Knoxville, Chattanooga, Southern, Martin, Memphis) next fall. Deadline to apply is December 15, 2023!
• Attend your assigned in-person Mandatory TN Promise Meeting with your assigned volunteer mentor between December 2023 and early February 2024.
  • You will be assigned a meeting date, time and location based on the high school you attend. Mandatory meeting February 1, 2024 at 4 p.m. in CHS Cafeteria. 

APRIL 15, 2024

• Complete the Mandatory TN Promise Meeting requirement (mentioned above).
• File the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at StudentAid.gov.
• Complete and submit 8 hours of community service to tnAchieves.org for the summer 2024 term.
  • This only applies to students that plan to attend a Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) and choose to begin their program in the summer OR if you are graduating high school early and plan to enroll with TN Promise prior to fall 2024. You can find more information on early high school graduate requirements here!

*Keep in mind, failure to complete these requirements will result in the loss of your TN Promise scholarship eligibility. Once you lose your eligibility, you will not be able to regain TN Promise at a later date.

 JULY 1, 2024

• Complete and submit 8 hours of community service to tnAchieves.org for the fall 2024 term.
• You can find more information regarding the TN Promise community service requirement by clicking here.
• NOTE: You can only complete a maximum of four hours of community service using virtual community service webinars on the tnAchieves website for each deadline. All other hours must be completed in person.
  • For example, you can view 4 virtual community service webinars on our website and volunteer at your local animal shelter for 4 hours. Or you can spend 6 hours volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and view 2 virtual community service webinars to bring your total hours to 8. You have options!

FALL 2024

• Enroll as a full-time student (at least 12 credit hours or in a full-time program) at a TN Promise eligible institution.

*All deadlines bolded in green font are mandatory requirements that you must meet to maintain your TN Promise scholarship eligibility. Failure to adhere to TN Promise requirements will result in the permanent loss of your TN Promise eligibility!
