Wallace Memorial Summer Camp Workers
Wallace Memorial is looking to hire workers for Summer Camp. Applicants must be 18 with a high school diploma. 40 hours week with Summer field trips included to Splash Country, Springbrook Pool, The Lumberjack Feud, Parrot Mountain, and more! BHS Corrugated Apprenticeship Program
BHS Corrugated is offering an Apprenticeship Program for newly graduating seniors. This is a paid apprenticeship opportunity for students interested in Industrial Maintenance. There will be an Open House on May 9th for those interested in this program. Parents are invited to join.

James H. Quillen VA Medical Center Summer Youth Program
Students will gain experience working in the medical field and serving our Nation's Veterans. The Youth Program is open to students age 14-19, and will last June through August 2019. Orientation will be on Monday June 10th from 9:00 am-11:00am at the VA Medical Center. A parent or guardian will needd to sign papers giving permission for the student to volunteer and receive a TB test.
In the past, students who participated in the Program have volunteered in Escort, assisted with administrative and clerical duties in the Business Office and Learning Resources. Students 15 and older may work with Nursing Service to ensure the inpateint Veterans have water at their beside/comfort items they need, other assignments as per staff. University of Georgia VetCAMP 2019
UGA is now accepting applications for its VetCAMP 2019, which is scheduled for June 16-22, 2019. This program is offered to rising high school juniors and seniors and rising college freshmen to evaluate their skills and competitiveness as future veterinarians, provide mentorship and help them experience veterinary medicine as an exciting career path. It’s a great experience and the students have a lot of fun while also learning about the profession. The deadline for all application materials is January 25, 2019.
The cost of attending the program is $900 and covers lodging, meals, instruction and social activities. Financial assistance is available to students with demonstrated need. For more information regarding scholarship opportunities, please contact vetcamp@uga.edu. Students may also reach out to that email address with any general questions that they have regarding the program.
