James H. Quillen VA Medical Center Summer Youth Program

Students will gain experience working in the medical field and serving our Nation's Veterans. The Youth Program is open to students age 14-19, and will last June through August 2019. Orientation will be on Monday June 10th from 9:00 am-11:00am at the VA Medical Center. A parent or guardian will needd to sign papers giving permission for the student to volunteer and receive a TB test. 

In the past, students who participated in the Program have volunteered in Escort, assisted with administrative and clerical duties in the Business Office and Learning Resources. Students 15 and older may work with Nursing Service to ensure the inpateint Veterans have water at their beside/comfort items they need, other assignments as per staff.
