The Flight yearbook is a true yearbook. The staff covers each moment of the year, from the first day until graduation. When we say “yearbook”, we mean it. Flight captures the entire school year, not just the first seven months. That means all spring sports and events, including prom and graduation, are included. It also means that Flight yearbooks are given out in the summer, at Valleypalooza, rather than the spring.

2017: Volume nine's theme is "Illuminate". Stay tuned as this book promises to give the inside story on all things HVA!
2016: "You are here" was the theme of volume 8, emphasizing what it means to be a Hawk and what life in the Valley is really like.
2015: The theme for volume seven was “Outspoken”, featuring hundreds of quotes from students describing themselves and explaining how the student body vocalized and mobilized as never before.

2014: "Connections" was the theme for volume six of Flight. Using a running series of photos and arrows, the Flight staff showed unusual connections between hundreds of students.

2013: Flight's fifth volume had a theme of "Archive", complete with a vintage, scrapbook look and hundreds of "I've" quotes from students. Sections each had an "-ive" name, a nod to the fact that this was volume five.

2012: "All" was the theme for volume four, picked partly because this was the first graduating class to attend HVA all four years. The staff's goal was to include "all" students in the yearbook. One way they accomplished this was by featuring students holding the page numbers on each of the 352 pages. Almost 900 students participated in the page number project!

2011: Volume three of Flight featured a theme of "Changing Times" (chosen because of the new schedule this year, complete with 7:00 classes, enrichment, and early dismissal). The book also grew again...a whopping 352 all-color pages showcasing life at HVA.

2010: “More” was the theme for volume two of Flight, and the yearbook brought you just that. More. With over 500 more students, there were more photos, more quotes, more information, and of course that meant more pages…72 more to be exact! Volume two of Flight featured 304 all-color 9 x 12 inch pages…meaning there’s more to love!

2009: With a theme of "First Flight", volume one of Flight captured all of the firsts of the inaugural school year, from the ribbon-cutting in August until school was out in May.
