• A message from Dr. Charlene Lewis, Executive Principal

I am so excited to serve as Principal for CMA for the 2024-2025. This school is one of the best kept secrets in Knox County because it is a melting pot of students from all across KCS School District. I truly believe in our motto “We are CMA” because every student at this school brings a unique perspective and gift that enhances their early college experience at Pellissippi State Technical Community College.

Our mission at CMA is “every student graduates with a diploma plus”. Diploma plus means that when a student walks across the stage to receive his/her high school diploma, he/she has also earned some type of post-secondary credit or industry certification. And our partnership with Pellissippi State Community College makes the option for a “plus” an endless possibility for all of our CMA students.

CMA is focused on helping students reach their goals through a curriculum designed to prepare them for the post-secondary world. CMA students are enrolled in ACT Prep, AVID and Pre-Ap classes to provide them with a solid educational foundation before transitioning to dual-enrollment classes at Pellississippi State Community College.

I am so grateful to work with a staff at Career Magnet Academy who are dedicated to making sure all students reach their goals through the early college experience. Although our expectations for students are high both academically and behaviorally, our staff is devoted to making sure students have an engaging high school experience by building relationships to support them on this journey.

We appreciate you trusting CMA to guide your child through this unique early college experience.

    GO WOLVES!!

    Charlene Lewis
