The VISION of the HVA Counseling program is to aid students in reaching their full potential on an academic, college/career, and social/emotional level. The counseling program will help to empower students to create and achieve goals, become independent thinkers, and leaders in the school and community.
The Tennessee School Counseling Standards are organized in three broad domains: academic development, social and emotional development, and college and career readiness. These domains promote the attitudes, knowledge, skills and experience that enhance the learning process and create a culture of college and career readiness for all students.
The Tennessee School Counseling Standards can be accessed here.
