DUAL ENROLLMENT

  • Dual Enrollment (DE) Guidelines 2021-2022 School Year

    If you are taking a DE class (Pellissippi, LMU, Tusculum) this school year (either Fall or Spring Semester), please read this document carefully, as it contains important information. If you have any questions related to your schedule, please feel free to contact your Academy Counselor. 

    Opening of School, second semester: January 4 and January 5 Meeting for all DE students (in the library, during their DE class block)

    Pellissippi DE Classes begin: January 18

    Confirm Pellissippi Registration for Spring classes: by January 10

    LMU A&P Classes begin on date TBD

     

     

    January 4, H DAY:

    DE MEETING

    Report to the HVA library at the beginning of your scheduled DE block for a REQUIRED meeting with Mrs. Graham. 

     

    January 5, V DAY: 

    DE MEETING

    Report to the HVA library at the beginning of your scheduled DE block for a REQUIRED meeting with Mrs. Graham.

     


    NOTE: If you plan to check out and leave HVA following our meeting on January 4 or 5, it is REQUIRED that you bring either:

      • A parent note with permission to leave campus following our meeting or...
    • Your signed copy of the DE Authorization form you picked up on January 4 or 5


    Here’s what you need to do to make sure you’re all set for your Pellissippi class:

      1. If you have outstanding fees:
    • Check your TSAC portal to make sure you have applied for the DE grant for Spring 2022.
    • Then, contact Pellissippi at 694-6400; ask to be connected with the Financial Aid Office. Have your P Number ready, and ask when your Dual Enrollment grant will be applied to your account. At this point, you may have to pay for your class at Pelli and be reimbursed.
    1. Confirm your schedule no later than January 10 and pay any outstanding fees. If you do not confirm your schedule, you will be dropped January 11 (if this happens, select another course and then confirm your schedule).
    2. Pay for any text books through your financial aid page in myPellissippi. Your textbook may be online (you’re paying for the code to access it) or it may be a “hard copy”- you can order online and arrange to pick up at the HV campus of Pellissippi bookstore.
    3. In your myPellissippi account, log onto Brightspace on January 11 (it should be unlocked) to read what each of your instructors expects you to do on the first day of class, as this will vary from class to class (online versus virtual)
    4. Check your Pellissippi State email regularly (each week) for more information and updates.
    5. If you have any questions about your classes the Pelli help desk number is: 694-6400.
    6. Attendance policy: Students are expected to attend and participate in all scheduled classes.
