Beginner Band Information
Peer Tutoring Application- Due Tuesday, May 4th
The course goal is to inform and create awareness in the community. There will be an abundance of opportunities for interaction & acceptance between individuals with and without mental & physical challenges. Through class assignments, activities, and discussions, the following topics will be covered to achieve the course objectives in both classroom and community: Integration vs. Segregation, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Asperger's, Vision/Hearing Impairments & Heal Impearments; Intellectual Diability vs. Mental Illness; Special Olympics/Unified Sports. Peer tutors will also be joining their new friends and helping them during their RA classes.
