    New Student Tours

    On the first day of school, there will be student tour guides ready to assist any students that are new to our building, or anyone returning that would like a refresher. Students will go to the HVMS Cafeteria where they will pick up their schedule, and then they will be paired with a tour guide if desired. Tour Guides will follow your child's schedule and show them around to where each of their classes will be held. Teachers are great about being in the hallways and will also help direct your child during the first couple of weeks should they have any questions. 

     

    How to become a Canvas Observer for Parents 

    Parents, please click here to find instructions on how to set up your Observer Canvas Account. This will allow you to help monitor your student(s)' work, see teachers' posts, and view assignments. 

     

    How to set up Aspen alerts for grades

    To Sign up for these notifications:

      1. Log into your Parent or Student Aspen Account.

      2. Parent Accounts should then click on the Family tab at the top, then click on their child's name. Student account users should click on the My Info Tab at the top.

      3. Click on the Notification side tab.

      4. Check off the Notification(s) you want to enable.

      5. Enter a grade threshold if you are activating the grade notification.

    Please note that parents with multiple children need to activate these notifications for each of their children. The grade notifications only apply to assignment grades on the Academics Tab. Transcript grades posted at the end of each quarter or at Progress report time do not trigger these notifications.

     

     

    September is Suicide Prevention Month. We would like to raise awareness and make sure everyone is equipped with resources should someone have thoughts of suicide or knows of someone who is struggling.
