Assistant Principal - 8th Grade

Leontyne Stone is the 8th Grade Assistant Principal at Whittle Springs Middle School.  This is Ms. Stone's 17th year as an Assistant Principal at WSMS.  She joined Knox County Schools in 2003 as a Social Studies Teacher.  During her tenure (2003 - 2009) at Vine Middle School, she taught Social Studies, Math Intervention, AVID, and 6th - 8th Grade Math. She was also the Project GRAD Math Coach at Vine from 2003 - 2009.

Assistant Principal - 6th Grade

Mrs. Reeves is beginning her seventh year as an administrator at Whittle Springs and will be serving as the 6th grade Assistant Principal. She is beginning her 28th year in education.

Mrs. Reeves attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she received her Bachelor of Music degree. After completing her degree, she started her teaching career in 1998 at Whittle Springs Middle School as the band director. After leaving Whittle Springs, she taught for several years at Holston Middle School, Gresham Middle School, and Gibbs High School. While at these schools, her schedule included Marching Band, Concert Band, General Music, History of Rock, and Student Leadership, as well as planning and leading professional development for the staff of Gibbs High School.

In 2012, Mrs. Reeves was hired into both a Lead Teacher position where she evaluated teachers under the TEAM model, and as a Professional Development Specialist for Knox County where she helped to train teachers throughout Knox County on the TEAM teaching rubric. In 2016, Mrs. Reeves graduated from Carson-Newman University with her Master of Education in Educational Leadership.

Mrs. Reeves continues to play flute professionally in addition to going to the beach and enjoying the sun and sand whenever she can.
