Good Afternoon Carter Middle School Families,

This is Mr. Watson, Principal of Carter Middle School, and I hope you are having a great Veteran’s Day.    I want to take this opportunity to thank all our Veterans for their service to our country.

Last Friday we had a blast at the first ever CMS PTSA Fall Festival.  I want to thank the PTSA and all the volunteers that made the Fall Festival possible.

The basketball teams will be at home on Monday, November 12th against Halls Middle.  Remember admission is $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.  The girl’s game will start at 4:30 pm and the boys game at approximately 5:30 pm. The Student Section will have a Country theme this home game.  The basketball teams have an away game at Northwest Middle on Thursday, November 15th.

The CMS Game Club meets every Monday after school from 3:30 pm to 5 pm and the CMS Art Club meets every Wednesday afterschool from 3:30 pm to 5 pm.  See Mrs. Hutchins the Art teacher for more details.

Yoke will meet Tuesday night at 7 pm in the cafeteria.

The Beta Club and FCA are collecting food items to make Thanksgiving baskets for families at Carter Middle School.   Please bring items to Coach Howell’s room.  You can look in the school newsletter and on the school website for the different type of items that are needed.  They will be collecting items until this Friday.

Carter Middle offers tutoring every morning from 7:30 am to 8:00 am and after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.   The tutoring schedule can be found on the school website.

Thank you for your continued support of Carter Middle School.   Go Hornets!

    Mr. Watson
