Good Afternoon Carter Middle School Families,

This is Mr. Watson, Principal of Carter Middle School, and I hope you are having a great weekend.  One more week and then we have a couple weeks off for Winter Break.

I want to thank all the parents that came to the Band and Chorus Concerts last week.  It was great for the students to see a packed house for their performances.

The basketball teams have two games this week.  On Monday, December 17th the teams play at home against Cedar Bluff Middle.  This is also Eighth Grade Night in which we recognize the 8th graders on the teams. On Thursday, December 20th we have an away game at West Valley Middle.  The girls game starts at 4:30 pm and the boys game starts at 5:30 pm.  Admission is $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.

Middle School boys interested in playing soccer need to attend an informational meeting this Tuesday night, December 18th at 6:30 pm in the Chorus Room.

Order your yearbook before the price goes up.  Early bird discount ends on December 21st.  Order forms are in homerooms, the office or can be downloaded from the website.  A link to order yearbooks online can also be found on the school website.

If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Manis

7th grade staycation is Thursday December 20th.  Students need to return permission slip and $5 if participating in the pizza party.

Beta Club will meet Wednesday December 19th for their Holiday party and ornament exchange.   Please remember your snack item and ornament.  Meeting will be 3:30 to 4:30.

Every year the school has the Carter Auction and Store.  Students use their PRIDE tickets and Carter Cash earned based on their attendance, behavior, and grades.  During this event students can purchase gifts for love ones or for themselves.   All items in the Auction and Store are based on donations.  If you can donate items or donate money to help support this event, then please call the office.  We also need volunteers to help work the event.  The Carter Auction and Store this year will be this Thursday, December 20th

Remember Friday, December 21st is a half-day for students.

Thank you for your continued support of Carter Middle School and Go Hornets!

    Mr. Watson
