• Small Learning Communities (SLCs)

SLCs are in the simplest terms a school within a school.  At Fulton High School, we utilize these communities to create a more welcoming learning environment that is created by the localized learning communities.  The use of these has shown to increase student success both academically and behaviorally.  At Fulton the students will start in the Merlin SLC as freshmen, during, which they will work to identify strengths to help them choose their path within Fulton.  As sophomores, they will join an SLC, choosing a focus pathway that they will continue as juniors and seniors. They will get to select which upper house SLC they would like to join.  They will get to choose between Public Service, Health Science, Communications(FulCom) or Skilled Professions.
