What Does Mu Alpha Theta Do? At Karns High School, Mu Alpha Theta is a service club that offers tutoring services to their fellow students. The club meets once a month to discuss math and practice for math competitions. We are also involved in various fundraising activities to help with technological needs of the Karns High School Mathematics Department.
Who Can Join Mu Alpha Theta? Students who have successfully completed both Algebra I and Geometry with at least a 3.0 GPA may become members of Mu Alpha Theta. If you have not completed these courses, you may join as an associate of the club.
How Do Students Join? Pick up an application outside of Room 213 and submit it to Mrs. Naes, along with the $25 fee. The fee covers a t-shirt and costs associated with an annual membership in the honor society.
