    DUAL ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Dual Enrollment (DE) is an opportunity for high school students to take college courses to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Students are dually enrolled at FHS and a postsecondary institution. It is important to remember that DE courses become part of your permanent college transcript!

    • Only rising juniors and rising seniors can apply to take DE courses.
    • Most DE courses are typically taken online, but there may be in-person course options as well.
    • Any in-person DE courses must be scheduled to fit during 1st or 4th block of your FHS schedule (before 10 AM or after 2 PM). Online DE courses can be scheduled during any block in your FHS schedule.

    TSAC DUAL ENROLLMENT GRANT (DEG):

    • The TSAC Dual Enrollment Grant pays for qualifying students to take DE classes.
    • For rising juniors and seniors, the DEG will pay tuition for five (5) total dual enrollment courses.

    • The DEG does not cover textbook or other miscellaneous fees.
    • To remain eligible for the grant and to continue taking DE courses, students must maintain at least a 2.0 college GPA (a “C” average).
