• Help meet basic needs in order to remove barriers for families to develop their full potentials socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually 
    • Embrace honesty, professionalism, and communication in collaboration with and in support of fellow social workers 
    • Develop innovative interventions that work towards increasing knowledge of various cultures and values, self-awareness and acceptance by and of families and children, and to support and enhance the dignity of the student 
    • Function as the vital link between home, community, and school to educate and empower students and families, get them engaged in the learning process, and resist enabling behaviors 
    • Support and collaborate with staff and administration to provide crisis assistance 
    • Know and act in ways that demonstrates each child has the potential to be successful
