Coach Lindy McCollam is going into her fourth year as the cheerleading coach at Hardin Valley Middle for the 2022 - 2023 season. McCollam has cheered since she was five years old and through high school. When it comes to cheering, McCollam believes that perseverance, teamwork, discipline, and dedication are important to a successful team. Not only does McCollam instill these skills, she also strongly believes that it is about teaching the life skills that come from being part of a team. She aims for her cheerleaders to learn and value responsibility, goal-setting, balance, leadership, and self-confidence that they can carry into their future.

McCollam received her Bachelor of Science in Education K-6 from Tennessee Tech University in 2014. She currently teaches 4th grade math at Cedar Bluff Elementary. Prior to CBES, she taught at Hardin Valley Elementary for eight years. McCollam has a son named Braylen (11).

    Miranda Davis, Assistant Cheerleading Coach

Miranda Davis is new to HVMS and is excited about being the assistant cheerleading coach.  In fact, she and her family just moved to Hardin Valley in late November of 2021.  She spent the last 22 years living in San Diego where she was an elementary and middle school teacher.  She was most recently a third grade teacher at Hardin Valley Elementary School, but she sadly left to pursue her dream job of teaching future educators at the University of Tennessee.  Go Vols!  Coach Davis grew up cheering most of her life from third grade all the way until she graduated high school.  She loves everything about cheerleading and decided that she wanted to be a coach and help foster this same love for the sport.  Her husband also works for Knox County Schools and is a teacher at West Valley Middle School, and their two kids attend HVMS.  They are living the middle school life to the fullest!  Both kids are very active in sports and keep the family quite busy.  Coach Davis is grateful for this opportunity and can't wait to see the cheer team shine this season!
