Welcome to the New Hopewell Elementary principal page.  I am proud to be the principal at New Hopewell Elementary School.  We are so fortunate to have amazing students with supportive parents who are engaged in their children's learning.  The school also has wonderful teachers who motivate, inspire, and encourage every student to learn.  I have been an educator for the past 25 years.  I taught for eight years (third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade) in Mississippi and in Knox County Schools at Cedar Bluff Intermediate.  I also served as an assistant principal at A. L. Lotts Elementary for three years before moving into the position as principal.  I have served as principal at Corryton Elementary, Sunnyview Primary Schools, Ball Camp Elementary School and Northshore Elementary School before beginning my placement at NewHopewell Elementary.

It is with great excitement that I have joined Mount Olive Elementary and New Hopewell Elementary as the newly appointed Assistant Principal.  I am humbled to have the opportunity to work with amazing students, extremely dedicated staff, and supportive parent and school communities.  I look forward to assisting both schools in making this a great year!

On a more personal note, I have two children.  My daughter Kenzie is entering her senior year and my son Ryder is going into eighth grade. They truly bless my life.  This is my twentieth year living in South Knoxville & I couldn’t think of a better place to be!

I am committed to working alongside Mrs. Harper and Mr. Pratt as we continue to provide support and build a structure of collaborative relationships in each school and community - so that ALL students have a variety of opportunities to succeed!  I look forward to meeting all students and families this coming school year!
