Club/Sport/Activity:  Band

The band is for students who would like to learn how to play a musical instrument.  The instruments include marching and concert band instruments such as; Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba and Percussion. The band is a progressive class and a performance class. Students start out in the 6th grade and can continue in the band through high school. Opportunities to excel in the band are always provided for each student and the students are able to work at their own pace.

Meeting Time/Location: Band meets every other day.  These classes are for each individual grade level.

Requirements: 2 performances a year, students need to be able to purchase a method book, and instruments are rented, purchased or borrowed.  No previous knowledge of music is required. However, students must be motivated and have an enthusiasm for learning.
