Batting for Brooks: Second Inning and At Bat for Andi

The National Junior Honor Society at Karns Middle School are raising funds to help two of our own Karns Middle families that have children that are diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. We appreciate your support!

Karns Middle School through our National Junior Honor Society is raising money for Brooks Goodwin, son of 8th grade social studies teacher, Grant Goodwin, and Andi Hurst, newborn grandson of satellite teacher, Becky Hurst. Both boys were born with cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening disorder that affects their lungs and digestive system. To support these families, NJHS will host numerous fundraising events at KMS over the spring semester. All proceeds of this school-wide fundraiser go directly to the Hurst and Goodwin families to purchase lifesaving medical equipment and medicine for Baby Andi and Brooks.

Here are a few of the things we have planned:

  • World's Finest Chocolate Sales
  • Snack sales
  • In-School Dance for every grade level (one fall, one spring)
  • Chick-fil-A Biscuit Sales
  • Hat and Pajama Days
  • Community Dinners at local restaurants
  • At Bat for Andi and Batting for Brooks, 2nd Inning student-teacher Wiffle Ball game

Our goal is to raise $13,000 to support these families, and we wanted to offer the Karns community an opportunity to assist us by asking for any donations to support this worthy cause.
