Habitat for Humanity is an independent, nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing partnership with those in need. Program is available for low income families who are able to pay a 20 year no interest mortgage, and must be willing to contribute at least 500 hours of sweat equity. Services:
This department provides a variety of programs to assist the homeless to achieve self-sufficiency. All programs offer comprehensive and integrated case management, outreach, crisis assistance, job, life, and basic skills training, GED preparedness, budget management, parenting classes, employability classes, housing placement and transportation assistance and other supportive services related to a customer’s goal of achieving self-sufficiency. PROJECT SUCCEED
Provides job training, case management, life skills, and GED preparation to homeless individuals who reside in shelters, transitional housing, and halfway houses. Parenting, employability, and budget classes are taught on a weekly basis. Office Hours: Monday – Friday from 8:00AM - 4:45PM
REACH (Resources Extended to Assist the Chronically Homeless)A Street outreach program providing case management, support services, life skill training, and housing assistance to the street homeless.

General Housing Program
KCDC's affordable housing opportunities include a variety of properties designed for families, seniors and disabled residents. KCDC provides affordable housing to citizens who qualify under certain income limits and social services, which provide services for the residents by trained social workers and teachers. Office Hours: Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 4:00PM.

KCDC administers two types of Section 8 housing: The Housing Choice Voucher Program, which is tenant-based assistance, and the Moderate Rehabilitation Program, which is property based assistance. Both programs provide rental assistance to low-income families in the private rental market. Qualified applicants may obtain quality housing in the neighborhoods of their choice using a Housing Choice Voucher. The unit, selected by the applicant, must pass the required inspection guidelines and a required rent reasonable assessment. Applications are only being accepted for elderly, disabled, and homeless individuals. Office Hours: Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 4:30PM
