  • Mr. Wiggles the Bookworm Welcome to the Farragut Primary Library School web page!  We are excited about the 2017-18 school year.  We are an open-access library, so students may come to the library every day to check out a book if it is okay with their teacher.  We also have an Accelerated Reader club called Finley's Reading Club.  Students read books, take quizzes, and earn points for incentives and so that they can be on the announcements with Mrs. Byrd.  We are excited about this school year!

Scoob the shelf elf  We need your help in the library!  If you can volunteer to be a "shelf elf" in our library, we would love to have your help.  Email our PTA library chair Megan Hedge at library@fpspta.org to get on our volunteer list.  Your child would love to see you here, and we would too.
  • Online Catalog: Kidzviz
Click on Kidzviz  to go to our online catalog. You may search for books on Kidzviz from the school or at home.
    Accelerated Reader
Our Accelerated Reader program is called Finley's Reading Program.  Kindergarteners and first graders should be recommended by a teacher when they feel that the student is ready for the program.  Students who are recommended will bring home a blue Finley's Reading Cub letter which includes a list of Finley Words that they should know before they begin taking quizzes.  All second graders are invited to be in the program, and we show them how to take a quiz in the computer lab in the fall.
Students may only take AR quizzes at school.  They may click on Link to AR Quiz webpage to take a quiz in the classroom or the library.  You and your child may look up books on AR Book Find to find out the book's reading level and if it has an AR quiz. You may log onto Renaissance Home Connect  with your child's AR username and password to see the quizzes s/he has taken.  You may also sign up on this website to be notified when your child takes a quiz. Email me if you need your child's username and password.  Students earn points for every AR quiz they pass, and these points add up to incentives like a free Happy Meal from our main local sponsor McDonald's and a Super Reader Ribbon. Sometimes other local businesses donate coupons as well, and then we get to give more prizes!
  • Ticket-to-Read

Ticket-to-Read  Click on the Ticket-to-Read link to access this website from home or at school.  Your child will have fun practicing reading skills on this interactive website!  The student ID number will be your child's username and password.

  • Online Databases
These databases are provided by Knox County Schools for your students to use for their research and enrichment.  We send home a list of the databases with their usernames and passwords with the library beginning-of-the-year letters.  If you do not receive a copy, email me at wendi.lesmerises@knoxschools.org, and I will email you an attachment of one.
