Mrs. Ginny Powers
6th Grade Principal
I am excited to welcome our new and returning students to another academic year at Powell Middle School.
As a lifelong community member, I am truly privileged to have spent the past 29 years at Powell Middle School. From my early days as a student to my current role as an administrator, Powell Middle has played an integral part in shaping my life and values.
Reflecting on my 17 years as a dedicated middle school teacher and the last 12 years as an administrator, I am constantly reminded of the exceptional individuals I have had the pleasure of teaching and interacting with hundreds of students. It has been heartwarming to witness the growth and achievements of our students, knowing that I have contributed to their journey.
Moreover, as a parent of two girls who have attended all the Powell schools, I have personally experienced the strong support and dedication our community demonstrates. The bond we share is truly remarkable and serves as a testament to the strength and community spirit that Powell holds.
I am honored to be part of this incredible community that values education, growth, and the well-being of our students. Let us continue to nurture and inspire the young minds that grace our halls, knowing that together, we can create a brighter future for all.

I look forward to an incredible year of growth and success with our students!
I live with my wife, Jenny, and my daughter, Sloan. We have two dogs that bark too much and a cat that chases all the wildlife from our yard. I like live music, camping, kayaking, and reading.
