West Haven is a Title 1 school.

Title 1, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.

Parental involvement in the educational/learning process of the students attending West Haven Elementary School is an important belief of the educational community. Research has indicated that parental involvement in the education of their students is a critical factor in children’s ability to learn and be successful in school.
