  • Do you enjoy arguing?  Do you like watching Law and Order?
Well, then the Farragut Mock Trial Team is for YOU!  The Mock Trial team is an extracurricular program in which students participate in contrived trials to learn new skills while assuming the roles of attorneys and witness.  Students compete against other schools' teams at the Knox County Courthouse.

The Mock Trial Team is open to any student who is interested in the legal system.  The team will compete in a mock trial scenario against high school teams at the District and State level.  The competitions are run by the Tennessee Bar Association in the Spring of each year.  The case scenario developed by the Tennessee Bar Association is released after Thanksgiving each year.  Students will perform the roles of Prosecutors/Plaintiff Attorneys, Defense Attorneys, and Witnesses during trial presentations that are part of the competition.  Students will meet periodically during the beginning of each Fall Semester with more frequent meetings and practices after the case is released after Thanksgiving.

The team practices on Thursdays in T406 in the Career and Technical Education Building.
