    Available to order now through April 15. Each sign is $20 with proceeds beyond the cost of the sign benefiting senior scholarships and teacher appreciation.     Recognition of all students who are enlisting in the military and planning to attend a technical school.  

    SENIOR SUNSET
    Thursday, May 8
    6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the stadium
    PTSO and our event planning class are hosting a night of games, food, and fun! Games will be from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. Then students will lay out on the field to see the sunset on their high school career.

    Seniors who attended HVES will have the opportunity to gather at HVES, wearing their cap and gown, to walk the halls of their former school.

    GRADUATION PRACTICE

    7:00 p.m. at the stadium
    Students will report to the gym/atrium by 4:30 p.m.
    In the event of inclement weather, the rain date for graduation is May 24. Rescheduling will be a decision at the district level.

    GRADUATION FAQs

     

    Where do graduates report to line up for the processional?

    Graduating seniors should report to HVA at 5:30 pm and report to designated locations to line up for the processional.   Students will line up alphabetically by Academy.  Watch for more information to be sent out about locations to line-up!!!   You will receive additional correspondence with this information and signs will be posted though-out the atrium and gym.


    Will there be handicapped accessible parking?

    Yes, there will be limited handicapped accessible parking available.   This parking area will be the roped off area closest to the entrance to the football stadium (by the ticket gate).  To inquire about reserving handicapped accessible parking, you will need to complete this form.   Parking passes will be distributed to allow access to this area.  These passes will need to be displayed in the dashboard of the vehicle. 


    Is there wheelchair accessible seating and special seating for those with mobility issues?

    Yes.  All attendees in wheelchairs will be seated on the track in the reserved area.  Attendees with mobility issues can also request to sit on the track.   Individuals requesting seating on track due to wheelchair use or mobility issues can have one person/family member accompany them.    Please complete this form to indicate the need for wheelchair seating and limited mobility accessible seating.

     

    Will sign-language interpreters be available?

    Yes.   Sign language interpreters will be available if requests are made by Monday, April 21st.   Make your request as soon as possible by emailing Julie Mincke at julie.mincke@knoxschools.org.

     

    Will restroom facilities be open during the ceremony?

    Yes.   Restroom facilities will be available for use prior to and during the ceremony.


    Will concessions be open before and during the ceremony?

    Yes.  The HVA girls softball team will sell water during the ceremony.
